Storyline: After a high-class party in Rome, there's an assault. The victim is injured but lives. Andrea, an investigative reporter who drinks too much, is assigned the story. Then, always on Tuesdays, there are a series of murders. At each crime scene, a glove is left with a finger cut off for each victim. After four murders, Andrea thinks he's making progress, but by this time he may himself be a suspect, and someone he loves is in danger.

The Yellow subgenre has produced some really great films, home movies as the Laughing Windows, What they did to Solange, and almost everything is Dario Argento, and with that in mind, Le Cordon Fifth is not a very good movie. However, for less well-known Yellow, The Fifth cable will no doubt prove interesting insight for fans of Yellow. It’s not great, but the film is not intended to be really, this is a characteristic of the style of the Yellow film, and has a large number of brands Yellow, which will no doubt please the fans. The cable Quinto also benefits from having Django star Franco Nero in the title role, giving a touch of class and an additional quota of cultural value. The plot is typical Yellow, and only follows a murder investigation. This is the central character, so is most interesting in this film. Franco Nero plays a journalist alcoholic, put on the road to assassinate both because of his profession, and the fact that they see the police as a suspect in the investigation.
Ennio Morricone is most famous for his scores for Sergio Leone’s masterpieces, but has also done a lot of work to the Yellow. His score here is not in competition with those of the spaghetti western, but, as always, Morricone has done a good job of setting the mood for the film, as the score goes from the relaxed swing of Italian cinema, one more score for drilling macabre. Black performance is a bit ‘poor, and sometimes it is very hammy, but his presence on the screen makes up for it, and I could not imagine the movie without him. The film is directed by Luigi Bazzoni, which takes in a number of locations, with many scenes (the accumulation especially at the end) is memorable for his shots outside. The killings are not the most imaginative I’ve ever seen, but most are suitably macabre, and do their work by creating a threatening environment. One of the problems is that Yellow is often difficult to follow, and the film suffers from this, but the story is mostly well-paced, and the ending gives it something of a surprise. This movie is too insignificant in everything to be a “must see”, but I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Italian horror.
The short summary of this film promises a lot of sadistic murders and twists smart and twisted, but it’s actually one of the most boring yellow-efforts that I have come across so far. The plot is uninvolving and has too many extraneous characters who like to behave strangely, even when they have absolutely no reason to do so! Take girlfriend of the protagonist, for example! She is a blonde girl, but sometimes wears a black wig without saying why. In any case, we are looking for a murderess in a world of wild orgies, blackmail, astrology, journalists really confused. It all starts with the storm of an Australian doctor, the day of the new year, and many victims follow, but not immediately. The murderess is not exactly in a hurry (who has committed a murder of a month), and because he / she be? It almost seems to have the police investigating the case and the greatest danger comes from an alcoholic journalist with many personal questions. The murders are not particularly spectacular or imagination and some players could not give shows more negligent. As always, when his name appears in the credits, Ennio Morricone provides the best job with his amazing musical score which also provides the sequences weaker, with a little ‘suspense undeserved. Franco Nero is really cool, but he is obviously more at ease with his cowboy hat? preferably to Django? In fact, a star lead very convincing. None of the members of the supporting cast are really worth mentioning. Trust the general opinion on this point, there are about 50 to 60 yellow Italians should give priority to “The Fifth String”
An elegant, yellow lightning. Great score, great locations, beautiful cinematography by Storaro great. The story, however, is very confusing, but here, the atmosphere compensates for this to a large extent. The cheesiest moments are massacres, where the film becomes quite jarring and sloppy day / night continuity goes out the window. This movie makes me more curious to Luigi Bazzonis Footprints On The Moon Elm / La, I came across the DVD in a second hand store several years ago. I was intrigued by the cover and the contents of the box, but I stupidly did not buy. Regretting that the next day I went there and it was gone. Now, my hope is blue metro, may be released soon on DVD. Back to the fifth string, its interesting to see the block a few dialogue scenes. What could have become a director of photography minor and hands, simple cross between two talking heads, click here is often well made, sometimes with a cart, or static, using the rooms, spaces and architecture in a very cinematic, and with a variety of framing. A great lesson for budding filmmakers.
