Storyline: Caroline is to be wed to Sir Ralph and invites her sister Barbara to be her bridesmaid. Barbara seduces Ralph, however, and she becomes the new Lady, but despite her new wealthy situation, she gets bored and turns to highway robbery for thrills. While on the road she meets a famous highwayman, and they continue as a team, but some people begin suspecting her identity, and she risks death if she continues her nefarious activities.

The original version of this movie from 1940, with Margaret Lockwood campfest is really nice. To say this remake is one of the worst movies I’ve had the misfortune to see! Being a fan of the original, I was curious to get the version that was broadcast yesterday by satellite (I had never seen before). Spectators are expected to believe that his grandfather Denholm Elliot would be the object of love / desire for a beautiful young Glynis Barber, then a (totally charming) Faye Dunaway. Sometimes, the poor young man has trouble getting around in the series not to mention keep two women happy. Faye Dunaway is supposed to be Mrs. Barber “friend” is just like her mother. Ms. Dunaway (also in this case an old broilers with the head exceeded a face airplane window, looking pulled back) is coveted by Alan Bates and Oliver Tobias. The premise is ridiculous. Desperately fiasco, badly acted and directed the film is a total disaster and it is the charm of a terrible car accident! Whether or not it is intended to be ironic, I do not know, but it certainly caused a few laughs! I fear that Michael Winner crime against cinema is worse than the crime and Captain Jerry so in my opinion should be MW swing on the gallows at Tyburn!
It ‘s sad to see great actors in a bad movie. Worse when they appear in a terrible movie. So this is a remake of a terrible movie good B & W 40s.
I tried to find something good in this movie, but there’s nothing that comes to mind. There are some good outdoor scenes of the film, but it is assumed that the actors and the way in which the landscape is largely blocked.
Faye Dunaway may be a good actress, but in this movie, looks like a cartoon character unamused. Who ever told him to take that part should be fired or maybe fitted as shown in a scene from the film. At the end of the film, Faye has a death scene that is funny. First, he turned and bleeding so what, it puts a white nightgown and went to bed. All this does is bring out the blood that runs in a “discourse of death” woe-is-me. “Right now, we retire for death to come, and come quickly.
